Understanding Adult Career Pathways

Those who support Adult Career Pathways believe that education and training should be sector-specific and aligned to local workforce development needs. ACP should move students through the coursework needed to obtain skills credentials and make a successful transition into sustained employment.

Federal agencies such as the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Labor as well as organizations such as the Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD)  and the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) have been working to further the understanding and implementation of ACP.
